22 OCT 2007 - Covanta appoints Process Engineer

Covanta Energy has bolstered its UK engineering team by taking on a new Process Engineer, Rob Newman. Rob has a broad engineering background with over thirty years’ experience in the energy sector.

Rob joins Covanta from Energy Power Resources Ltd where he was Engineering Manager for the past ten years. Previously he was Technical Manager at Aztec Energy and before that he worked with Fina Energy and Babcock.

At Covanta, Rob will be responsible for front-end engineering to maximise energy efficiency and plant output. Rob will also be tasked with creating strategic plant concepts for modern Energy from Waste (EfW) plants as Covanta expands into Europe. Covanta currently operates 32 EfW plants worldwide, making it the largest EfW supplier internationally.

Rob joins Paul Cole and Geoff Price at Covanta to complete the UK engineering team. Rob will be based at Covanta’s UK office in the West Midlands.
